Despite the special conditions experienced this year due to the Pandemic, the volunteers of the Hellenic Rescue Team – Lesvos Branch, tried with all their might to support underprivileged local families, as done the last 20 years through the institution that the team created called ” Convoy of Love “.
Main supporters of this endeavor, without whom we would be unable to succeed, are all of you who we rely on and you motivate us to continue standing by these families.
We used to assist 80 families annually, but this year the number increased to 150 in total for the Christmas and Easter period. Thanks to your support we exceeded expectations.
So a big thank you to all of you, and also to our volunteers who dedicated good will, time, ideas and creativity to offer a little joy and love to all these children and their families experiencing difficult circumstances.
We close with a wish that each year the number of families with children, and not only, who face difficulties in living decreases!!!
Remember there are no small actions. Where there is a want for the help of our fellow citizen in need, there is always a way to achieve this.
All procedures were carried out in strict compliance with all the protective measures with regards to Covid19, by our members and each and every person that helped us and that we helped.
