For the 20th consecutive year, the Hellenic Rescue Team – Lesvos Branch – organizes the Christmas “Convoy of Love” for the families and children of Lesvos facing difficult living conditions.
By contributing to the link of the chain of gathering essential goods, we offer love, a warm smile and a big hug to our fellow man. Let the new year find all of us united, let the sweet melody of Christmas make us believe in the magic we inside us and everyone can be a creator.
In order to be able to stand by all these families facing difficulties and having been double this year due to Covid 19 conditions, everyone’s contribution is essential. We undertake to pack in boxes all the essential goods collected and deliver them to all these families that during the years we have recorded and verified they face serious problems and poor living conditions. These families are scattered throughout Lesvos.
The goods held in each “package of love and offer” for each family depending on the number of its members are:
- Durable milk pasteurised, condensed, evaporated, infant powder milk
- Baby creams
- Oil
- Pasta
- Sugar
- Rice
- Canned food
- Salt Tomato sauces
- Legumes
- Flour
- Breakfast items (cocoa, biscuits, croissants, cereal, toast, honey, jam, merenda, juice)
- Baby care items (baby bottles, baby diapers, baby wipes, shampoos, shower gels)
- Toys new or in a very good condition like puzzles, dolls, teddy bears.

During the collection and delivery process of the boxes all safety measures will be strictly observed in order to avoid any coronovirus dispersion. We are waiting for you from Friday 10 December to Thursday 23 December, upon contact, at our offices ( Koundouriotou 1 – Basement of the North Aegean Region ) or call the above phone so that your offer will be collected by one of our volunteers.
