With a risk index of 4 – The risk of fire is very high also today for Lesvos.
In recent days HRT Lesvos has been put on alert and all our volunteers are ready to assist wherever and whenever needed. In the context of preventing the occurrence of fire following a request of the Department of Civil Protection, today the team is carrying out fire watch in cooperation with the Fire Service and the volunteers of Civil Protection of Lesvos.
We take care & avoid mistakes that are the most common causes of fire, to protect the forest, the environment, every form of life and finally our property.
- We do not burn rubbish & dry grass
- We do not throw away lit cigarettes
- We do not light outdoor grills
- We do not leave rubbish in the forest
