Yiannis

My name is Υiannis Kalargalis and i am olive oil producer.

The idea of joining a volunteer team started when I got my lifeguard diploma and realized how important first aid was and how certain death can be prevented. I heard about the Hellenic Rescue Team and their branch in Lesvos. I joined HRT community and I realized how special is to be a volunteer, give first aid help to an island on the edge of Greece. All those who make up this team with their selfless offering, their mutual love, their altruism and their friendship made me want to become an active member of it, and to make HRT a part of my daily life.

I hope I improve through my constant experience, the HRT family grow and offer our help in return for a smile.
