On Saturday, Jule 23, 2022. A 12-member team of certified volunteers from the Hellenic Rescue Team Lesvos Branch operates from 11.45 in the morning in the wider area of Vatera. With 1 vehicle, a pedestrian section and 2 First Aid stations and firefighting and rescue equipment.
The team was mobilized after a call from the Civil Protection of the North Aegean Region and operates under the instructions of the Hellenic Fire Brigade – Fire Brigade of Mytilene Municipality of Western Lesbos

Since yesterday, a 12-member section remains in the wider area of Vatera – Vrisa – Stavros and operates under the instructions of the Hellenic Fire Brigade – Fire Brigade of Mytilini and the Civil Protection of the North Aegean Region.

Update Monday 25 Jule
For the third consecutive 24 hours, the volunteer members of HRT Lesvos Branch operate under the instructions and in cooperation with the Fire Brigade of Greece -Fire Brigade of Mytilini, the Civil Protection of the North Aegean Region, the Municipality of West Lesvos, the volunteers and all the sensitized active citizens.
In total, a number of 20 certified and trained members of ours have assisted at the First Aid – Firefighting Vehicle – Food and water supply stations since Saturday at 12.00 noon until now!
Well done to all active citizens and businesses for supporting citizens in need and stakeholders who are working tirelessly.
