The Lesvos branch of the Hellenic Rescue Team is assisting with 20 members, in turns, in the actions of the North Aegean Region and the Directorate of Civil Protection in the decisions taken dealing with the spread of coronavirus and especially the health of citizens.
As part of these activities, our members were trained through the Civil Protection Directorate, along with 40 other volunteers from the Reserve Paratroopers’ Club and the Lesvos Volunteer Firefighters’ Association, where in cooperation with the National Security Forces, will man mix teams giving brochures of the North Aegean Region, which are addressed to all citizens and focuses on issues of hygiene instructions, social distancing, and good physical and mental health, as also instructions concerning the symptoms of the infection, what the coronavirus is and especially what actions are needed to be taken.
