With 800 and more volunteers, which are one of the most numerous organized participations of Municipalities in the country, the Municipality of West Lesvos is ready for its dynamic presence in the pan-Hellenic action “Let’s do it Greece”, which will take place next Sunday 14 April.
The Hellenic Rescue Team Lesvos Branch in collaboration with the Intermunicipal Port Fund of Lesvos faithful to its appointment with the prevention and protection of the sea environment from 2000 until today will participate in the Panhellenic Action “Let’s do it Greece” organized by the Municipality of Western Lesvos.
We are cleaning the seabed and the coast at Skala Kallonis.
Meeting at 10:00 with all the volunteers!!!
The cleanliness of the seabeds & coasts is not only a sign of civilization!!!
But it is a main preventive measure to minimize the risks posed by damage to structures and constructions, accumulated waste, portable materials, the rearrangement of the morphology of the beach by the winter wave, etc. for the safe use and enjoyment of young and old.
