Members of the Lesvos Branch, were in attendance in the field (area Afalona – Agios Raphael) to assist with fire fighting under the instructions of the Fire Brigade and the Head of Civil Protection of the North Lesvos Region after a call from the General Secretariat of Civil Protection of Lesvos.
A total of 12 trained and certified members were at the points indicated to them and helped with the means available, until the early morning hours. The Operations Management Unit of the branch is in constant communication with the General Secretariat for Civil Protection and in case of absolute need, our members will leave their professional obligations to be in the field.
The fire in the area according to the latest information has been brought under control. We thank all involved agencies for their cooperation and assistance.
