Financial support of the Hellenic Rescue Team of Lesvos for the acquisition of an operational vehicle
A belief distinguishes the Hellenic Rescue Team of Lesbos, which already counts 24 proud years of serious, responsible and pioneering voluntary social service, with many large operations per year in the difficult field of Search and Rescue in Greece, but also abroad.
Thanks to this belief, our life acquires a foundation and a purpose.
At the same time, this belief is the highest motivation for the support of an official and organized group of experienced and trained volunteers, who can and do offer real help, whenever there is a need to find missing people in mountains, rivers, seas, as well as in research and rescue from natural or man-made disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, fires, etc.
However, we cannot do it alone! The awareness of society as a whole and your support, the support of ordinary citizens, are what help us to help our fellow human beings in difficult times and moments of absolute need!
Help us meet the urgent need to acquire an operational vehicle for the Hellenic Rescue Team of Lesvos.
The bulky and heavy equipment required to be transported for a well-organized rescue mission of any scale is very often a difficult "puzzle" with time-consuming difficulties for our Team volunteers. The existence of a suitable operational vehicle would help the most in the immediate transition and intervention of our human resources in the field, with the simultaneous movement and transport of all the appropriate technical equipment, to assist in small or large incidents. Whether it is a search for a missing mountaineer or fisherman, or larger incidents where human lives are at risk, the immediate transition of manpower and equipment with our own operational vehicle reduces intervention times and dramatically increases the chances of finding and assisting living missing persons or victims.
